$5.25 OOP at Publix

Just got home from a fabulous Publix run. I have been waiting patiently all day to run to Publix alone and work the great deals this week. I did three separate transactions to take advantage of the $5 off Walgreens coupon that was out for this weekend. The overage was good on the Back to Nature nuts, but, honestly, I'm ready for the coupon to expire. I'm so over having to explain the wording on the coupon to store employees. I came across a fantastic customer service desk employee, named T who explained to the cashier to go ahead and put the coupons through as she was continuing to complain about the overage I was getting AFTER the store manager had already told her to put the coupons through. Thank you, T!!!! I always have problems using coupons with this cashier. I'm ready to give up on that Publix just because she is just sooooo unfriendly.

Here's what I bought:
3 Boneless Ribeye steaks
2 bags of frozen Tyson nuggets
8 bags of Chex Mix
2 bags of Cheetos
12 bags of Back to Nature nuts, snack size
18 boxes Ronzoni Smart Taste pasta, various types
1/2 gal Horizon milk
Alaway allergy eye drops ($11.99!!!!)
Tic-Tacs (had to get a quick filler to put my subtotal over $5 to use a Walgreens q)

Total before qs and sales $121.70
Total out of pocket expense $5.25!!!!!

I had a coupon for everything except for the 3 Ribeye steaks and Tic-Tacs.

I'll be going back to Publix at least 2 more times this week. :)

Back to business

Things have been so hectic around here, I haven't had time to update. Orders for coupons are coming in on a daily basis which is fantastic. Thank you to everyone who has ordered. I hope you enjoyed your coupons and extras. Please leave a comment and let me know what deals you did.

The littlest clipping cutie has been very sick and has taken all attention away from coupons. She is now on the mend and we are ready to start clipping again. We have been working the deals and I'll post some of the great ones I ran.

Publix PAID me!!!!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!38 CENTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I am on cloud nine right now. I just home from the greatest shopping trip I've ever had! I kept watching my total drop further and further and saw that the manager still had a handful of coupons. I saw the -.38 on the screen and said, oops, do I need to get a candy bar? The manager said don't worry about it and told the cashier to give me 38 cents. WOW!!! I'm still in shock.

This is only the 2nd time I've shopped at this Publix location and it's within 4 miles of my house. I will be visiting them quite often! The manager also handed me a stack of hangtags for Coke products while I was shopping. New favorite Publix!!

Free Dawn at CVS

Dawn dish soap is on sale this week for 99c at CVS. This past weekend's Proctor and Gamble insert had a coupon for $1 Dawn Plus Hand Renewal. The Dawn Plus is NOT marked 99c on the shelves. You have to take it to a cashier or self scan to verify the price. Some stores around the country are showing it on sale for 88c and some not at all so verify the price before you buy. The limit is 6 bottles per transaction so only purchase in groups of 6 to get the sale price on all 6 of them. If your store is out, don't worry!!! Get a raincheck!

Overage at Publix

Pull out your $2 off Shick razors Qs from the 8/23 Smart Source and head to Publix. They have the 2 pack trial size Shick razors for 99 cents. Every package you buy will give you $1.01 overage to spend on other groceries. I used mine last night to pay for my Back to Nature nuts.

In the clearance bin at my Publix, I found several bottles of Sundown vitamins for $1.50. I used the $6 off 2 Sundown vitamins store coupon that can be found in the latest green savings Publix flyer that expires in late September. This purchase gave me $3 in overage. If you can't find Sundown in your clearance bin, head to the vitamin aisle and pick up 2 of the least expensive bottles of Sundown vitamins. This deal gets even better if you have any manufacturer coupons for Sundown. I didn't have my binder with me so I could only use the Publix Q.

General Mills peelies at Publix

There is a new set of General Mills $1 off peelies and brochures out at Publix. The peelies are on GM products that are in a large, four sided cardboard display. They have been found in the back of the store near the yogurt and in front of the store so look all around your store for the display.

With the new sale starting tomorrow, these peelies will make Hamburger Helper FREE after the BOGO sale and 2 of the $1 off peelies. If you use HH, I would definitely stock up as many as you can find. The peelies are on the products that are stocked on the display. I did not see any peelies on the same product on the shelf.

The brochure has $1 off 2 coupons for various GM products.
